Wish You Were Here Silk- Lake Michigan

The limited edition silk version of our very first bandana, Wish You Were Here. We took inspiration from vintage souvenir bandanas and surrealist paintings by Salvador Dali and Leonor Fini. The central photograph perfectly illustrates our brand's ethos: “Out of the prairie, into dreamland.”

For this collection’s theme of rebirth, we subverted symbols from our upbringing and gave them new meaning. Balancing masculinity and femininity, snakes are a traditional symbol of both fertility and death. Their ability to shed their skin echoes our central image. In the background you can find moths and skulls, which recall transformation and the stages of life.
