Kym Day Artwork

Kym is a realist oil painter in Greenville, SC. Originally from McKinney, TX, she grew up in Georgia and the Carolinas. She received a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a MFA in sculpture from Clemson University.

Rooted in realism, and steeped in dream logic, the Western-infused imagery points to Kym's roots and early childhood in Texas, and she aims to imbue the work with a sense of wonder, in an attempt to reaccess her childhood imagination.
