"Cowboy Killer" by Ryan Scheer

Having had a Grandfather that served as a stunt double for the Marlboro man, Ryan has been fascinated the the iconography of the Marlboro brand since he was young. In "Cowboy Killer", Ryan attempts to poke fun at the attempt to sell poison by using images rooted in Americana. By imposing a photo of himself dressed in western wear, while wearing a skull mask, Ryan aims to make viewers question how marketing can avoid the simple truths about the products they are selling.
